Frank W. Romanchak
Frank W. Romanchak, 78, husband of Sylvia Russell Romanchak of Daugherty Township, passed away while vacationing in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Monday, August 4, 2014.
Born May 21, 1936, in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Frank and Catherine Romanchak. He was a 1954 graduate of New Brighton High School and was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Beaver.
Frank was a founding member of the Beaver County Council of Governments and served many years on the Daugherty Township Board of Supervisors. He also served several years as the Daugherty Township Secretary-Treasurer.
He is survived by two sons, Steven (Sheree) Romanchak, Pensacola, FL and Frank (Dawn) Sparks, New Brighton; two daughters, Marjorie (Jonathan) Lecnar, Daugherty Township and Nina (Carl) Haaversen, Ely, MN; one sister, Rose Bable, Vanport; ten grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew and Joshua West, Steven Romanchak, Kyler Sparks, Ciara Lawsen, Jon, Rachel, Eric and Catherine Haaversen, and two great-grandsons, Caden Drouin and Urijah Lawsen.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Frank; six sisters, Anna Romanchak, Catherine Romanchak, Ann Milanak, Mary Killeen, Margaret Miller, and Helen Romanchak, and four brothers, Nick, John, Stephen, and Joseph Romanchak.
Private family services were held and interment took place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.
