Frederick “Fred” C. Dawson
Frederick C. Dawson, 75, of White Twp, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday June 7, 2011 at Providence Care Center.
Born April 21, 1936 in Unionville, Pa he was the son of the late F. Glen and Mary (Young) Dawson. Fred served in the U.S. Army as a SP4, he worked for King’s Mirror and Glass for 29 years and was a self employed locksmith. He was a life member of the White Twp V.F.D., a member of the Beaver County RELIEF Association, and loved camping with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Bernice Dawson, Janet Dawson Petz, Hazel Dawson Givens, and a son-in-law; Patrick Trimble.
Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years; Marth “Marty” (King) Dawson, one daughter and son-in-law; Terri and Duane Johnston, Daugherty Twp, three brothers and their spouses; Robert and Virginia Dawson, Midland, Donald and Norma Dawson, Beaver, Lloyd and Bonnie Dawson, Brighton Twp, one sister and brother-in-law; Linda and Patrick Lomargo, Industry, two grandchildren, Nathan and Natalie Johnston, several nieces, nephews, and their families.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave, New Brighton. Additional viewing will be held Friday from Noon until time of Blessing Service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Kim Schreck, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
The family would like to thank Liberty Dialysis, Chippewa Twp, the nurses on the Third Floor at Heritage Valley, Beaver, and all care providers on the first floor at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls.
