Gary M. Borland, 67, of  New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly, Friday January 3, 2014, in his home.

Born July 11, 1946, in Dubois, a son of the late Carlyle and Lucille (Braund) Borland. After graduating from New Brighton High School, Gary went to work for Tuscarora Plastics in New Brighton where he worked for 45 years and retired as a senior design engineer.  He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, the New Brighton Historical Society, the Merrick Art Gallery Association and many more organizations and community events of New Brighton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sydney J. Borland, on November 26, 2002.

Surviving are many cousins, their families and many friends.

There will be no viewing and interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, January 11, 2014, from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1001 10th Avenue, New Brighton. The Rev. Martin Galbraith, interim pastor, will officiate.
