Gayle M. (Hammer) Hipple, 73, of Ellwood City, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, at her home.

Born March 15, 1943, in Wilkinsburg, a daughter of the late Edward and Louise (Lemmon) Hammer. She had worked many years at the former Eat'n Park in Beaver Falls and just retired in December 2015 from McGuire Memorial where she worked in the laundry department. She attended Keys to the Kingdom in New Castle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Hipple Sr., in 2008.

Surviving are one daughter, Lou Anne (Charles) Cornelius, and one son, Ronald L. (Stephanie) Hipple Sr., all of Ellwood City; five grandchildren, Dustin (Hanna Groom) Fritzley, Cody Fritzley, Samantha (Jeremy) Kronz, Ronald L. Hipple III and Seth Altenburg, and three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Fritzley, Sophia Zilka and Lane Kronz.

Friends will be received Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. with the Rev. Scott Berkley, officiating.

Inurnment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made in her name to the funeral home.
