Geraldine (Seaman) Hanley Jones, 78, of Brighton Twp., formerly of Eastvale, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford.
Born August 21, 1935, in Wood County, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur H. and Edith M. (Virden) Seaman. She was a well known retired private duty nurse in Beaver Valley and enjoyed going to church and crafts.
Surviving are four children, son, Willis Calvin Ayres III and his companion, Lydia D. Mills, New Brighton; daughter, Brenda and husband, Roy Thomas Jr., New Brighton; son, Douglass C. Ayres, Beaver Co.; daughter, Cathy and husband, Todd Buchanan, Eastvale; six grandchildren, Jason Lake, Amber Lake, Willis Ayres IV and his companion, April Lamming, Jessica Ayres, Anthony Buchanan and Trevor Buchanan; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilbert H. Seaman, Parkersburg, WV and many nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half sister, Susie.
Friends will be received Monday from 12 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with the Rev. Paul Poole of the First Assembly of God, Beaver Falls officiating.
