Gordon Howard Lee Jr., 84, of New Brighton, formerly of Canoga Park, CA, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the VA Butler Healthcare.
Born March 13, 1930 in New Brighton, he was a son of the Gordon Howard and Mary (Comporto) Lee. He was a veteran and P.O.W. of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army and was retired from the Beverly Hills post office.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Lee; two brothers, Charles "Chappy" and Robert E. Lee and a nephew, Timothy H. Carr.
Surviving are one son, Greg Lee, Reseda, CA; two sisters, Joanne Carr and Irene Carr, both of New Brighton; four nieces and one nephew with whom Uncle "Itsy" had lived with since returning from California, Lisa (Matt) Ferguson, Debbie Trombulak, Kathy Craig, William (Sharice) Carr, Denise Carr, their children, Tiffani Kreshon McIntosh, Brittani (Josh) Briansesco and their daughter Karmen, who was the apple of "Itsy's" eye, Nick Kreshon, Erikka Kreshon, Michael and his children, Luke, Maci and Danielle Trombulak, Ryan, Rebecca and Jocelyn Carr Dixon, Heather Blackburn, Ashley and James Carr, Nicole Carr and Timothy Carr Jr., many more nieces, nephews and their families.
There will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. with Chaplain Robert Smith of the VA Butler officiating.
Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet in the cemetery at noon to provide military honors.
