Helen P. (Patsiga) Molder, 94, of Erie, formerly of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Fairview Manor, Fairview, PA.

Born November 29, 1921 in New Brighton, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Vilcak) Patsiga. She was retired from the former Geriatric Center and was a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church, Erie and had been a longtime member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church of New Brighton. Helen will be remembered for her zest for life, her sense of humor, her devotion to her family and her Catholic faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Molder in 2006; two brothers, John and Joseph Patsiga, and two sisters, Mary Doutt and Ann Cooper.

Surviving are one son, John Molder Jr., New Brighton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Richard Peacock, New Brighton; Carolyn and Jim Nairn, Beaver, and Colleen and Rich Van Hoozer, Erie; nine grandchildren, Dan (Mary) Peacock, David Harris, Kristen (Michael) Gagne, Shannon Harris, Brent (Lisa) Peacock, Audra (Kris) Colatriano, Brad Van Hoozer, Brian (Elizabeth) Van Hoozer, and Doug Van Hoozer; great-grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica) Peacock, Lauren Peacock, Mitchel Gagne, Lana Gagne and Bella Colatriano; great-great-grandchildren, Hailey, Aubrey and Emily Peacock; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Doris Patsiga; one sister, Mildred Klitz, and many nieces nephews and their families.

Friends will be received Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made in her name to American Stroke Association, Memorial Processing Center, 777 Penn Center Blvd., St. 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
