Helen (White) McCoy

Helen (White) McCoy, 89, of New Brighton, passed away late Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born September 6, 1923, in Beaver Falls, she was a daughter of the late Frank P. and Evelyn (Foley) White. She was a lifelong homemaker, wife and mother. Helen had been a past president of the New Galilee P.T.A. some years ago, and was a member of the Galilean Presbyterian Church, New Galilee, and the F.O.E. #1342, New Brighton.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Clarence Ross McCoy, in 2002; a son, Charles McCoy; a grandson, Wally Vogel; a son-in-law, Rob Hall, and a brother, Frank "Bud" White.

Surviving are three daughters, Pat and her husband Earl Ward of Darlington, Janet and her husband Don Eiler of White Twp., and Susan Hall of West Mayfield; three sons, Thomas and his wife Beverly McCoy of Seaman, OH, Albert and his wife Patty McCoy of East Palestine, and Scott McCoy of Ambridge; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. C. F. Hoffman, of the Galilean Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.

The family wishes to thank her caretakers over the years, especially Crystal Michele and Millie Vaughn.
