Howard B. Lenox, 80, of Chippewa, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at home surrounded by his family, friends and dog.

Born  24, 1931, in New Brighton, a son of the late Howard Welling and Adda (McDanel) Lenox. He was a veteran of  the Korean War serving with the U.S. Air Force stationed in Germany  from 1951 to 1955. Howard graduated with honors from Kent State with a degree in transportation. With his father, Howard was the owner/operator of Roberts Freight Lines and Beaver County Trucking. He went on to be a co-owner of the ComputerLand Store in Beaver for many years and briefly served as a Chippewa Township supervisor. Howard was an avid hunter and fisherman, traveling to Alaska and Canada many times. He claims to have had "the best dog ever."

Howard is survived by his wife Edith Mae (Buchholz) Lenox; three daughters, Terri Lenox (Charles Woratschak), Rachel Lenox Mace, (Gerald Mace) and Paula Lenox; six grandchildren, Jonathan Vogler, Lyndsey Vogler, Eric Mace, Daniel Mace, and Christopher Vogler, several nieces, nephews and their families.

As per his wishes there will be no viewing; however, Howard's family welcomes friends from 2 to 4 and  6 to 8 p.m. on  Monday at the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11a.m.

In lieu of flowers contribution are wished to be made to the First Presbyterian Church Food Pantry, 1103 8th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 or a charity of your choice.
