Jack G. George Jr.

Jack G. George Jr., 65, of New Brighton, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born December 14, 1947, in New Brighton, the son of Jack G. Sr. and Phyllis (Wright) George, he was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Marine Corps on three tours of duty. He had worked for Arco Polymer in Potter Twp., was a member of the American Legion, Post 19, New Brighton and loved to go fishing.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Linda (Greer) George; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Stephanie and Wayne Mros, Heather and Jesse Wall and Sherri Kosto, all of New Brighton, and six grandchildren, Sean, Wayne, Samantha, Jordyn, Isabella and Dominic.

Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald W. MacNeil of the Church of the Nazarene, New Brighton, officiating. Cremation will take place after the service.

Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home to provide military honors.
