James E. Greer

James E. Greer, 82, of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday December 15, 2020 at his home with his family at his side.

Born May 24, 1938 in New Brighton, a son of the late Classon and Mildred (Winterburn) Greer. He was a peacetime veteran serving with the U.S.M.C. and was retired laborer from Cutler-Hammer, Vanport. He was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Georgetown.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years LaVerne (Grillo) Greer, four children Daniel James Greer, New Brighton, Debra Jo Greer, Las Vegas, NV, David John Greer, New Brighton and Jamie Sioux (Jackson) Weihl, Fanwood, NJ, eight grandchildren Ryan (Kristin) LeDonne, John Tylor Greer, Melissa Lynn Brnilovich, Bradley Weston, Jerry Lee Weston, Preston, Gavin and Makena Weihl, five great-grandchildren, one sister Linda George, New Brighton, several nieces, nephews and their families.

Private family viewing will be Friday from 12:00pm until time of blessing service at 2:00pm in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton.

Internment will follow in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.
