Jane (Cornelius) Sasaran, 89, of New Brighton, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Friendship Ridge.
Born July 6, 1926, in Beaver Falls, a daughter of the late Michael Kenneth Sr. and Tille Elizabeth (Beitsch) Cornelius. She had worked in the maternity ward at the former New Brighton Hospital and in home health care. She was a former member of the F.O.E. #1342, New Brighton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sasaran; a granddaughter, Margaret Dinterman; a sister, Georgia Shaner, and three brothers, Chuck, Michael and Edward Cornelius.
Surviving are her daughter, Diann Thompson, New Brighton; two grandsons, Robert (Sue) Knallay, Midland, and John (Susan) Knallay, Hookstown; granddaughter, Kathleen "Kitty" (Carl) Curtis, Economy Boro; great-grandchildren, Nikki Curtis, Ashley Kowtko, Kathryn Smith, Nicole Flanders, Cassidy Knallay, Thomas Bencinic and Cameron Knallay; great-great-grandchildren, Bella, Cameron, Ava, Brantly, Ethan, Logan, Rex and Ripley; one brother, Paul (Chris) Cornelius, Kansas; one sister, Doralou (Ken) Huelskamp, Delaware; special niece, Terri Murphy, and many more nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Friday from 3 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with Rev. Donald W. MacNeil officiating.
Inurnment will take Grove Cemetery New Brighton.
