Janet Kay (Frishkorn) Madak

Janet Kay (Frishkorn) Madak, 62, of North Sewickley Twp., formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away Monday July 9, 2012, at home after a lengthy illness.

Born October 1, 1949, in New Brighton, she was a daughter of Hilda (Beatty) Frishkorn, with whom she resided, and the late Edward A.  Frishkorn, who passed away May 19, 2012. She had been a teacher for many years in both public and Christian education. Because of her love for children she then became involved in Teacher Care, helping parents with their children and bringing them up in the nurture of the Lord. She was a member of the Greater Grace World Outreach in Baltimore.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband of twenty years, Philip Madak; two brothers, Gary Frishkorn, Dayton, MD, and Terry Frishkorn, Broken Arrow, OK, and a niece, Kasey Frishkorn, Broken Arrow, OK, and Philip's family.

Friends will be received Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with the Rev. Paul Holland of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Beaver Falls, and Pastor John Hadley, of Greater Grace World Outreach, Baltimore, celebrating.

Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.
