Jay Samuel Bonovitch
Jay Samuel Bonovitch, 65, of New Brighton, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015, at Good Samaritan Hospice Beaver.
Born August 4, 1949, in San Francisco, CA, a son of the late Samuel and Ardelle (Fallen) Bonovitch, he was an inspector for Anchor Hocking in Monaca for over 20 years. An vivid hunter and outdoorsman, he loved his family, traveling, his pets and was a very funny man to be around. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Kathy (Masters) Bonovitch; two daughters, Shannon (Rico) Sanchez, Beaver Falls; Samantha Bonovitch, New Brighton; two sisters-in-law, Debbie (Ross) Masters, Houston, TX; Robin (Sam) Marchitelli, Rochester; a brother-in-law, James Masters, Monroe, OR; close hunting buddies, the Stone family, several nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Monday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with the Rev. Samuel DeMarco officiating.
At his request, cremation will take place after the service.
Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 11 a.m. in the funeral home to provide military honors.
