Jean (Pasquale) Francona

Jean A. Francona, 86, a lifelong resident of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

Born July 11, 1934 in New Brighton, she is the daughter of the late Dominic and Velma (Nemecek) Pasquale.  Jean was a member of Holy Family Parish, New Brighton, where she was known for her deep devotion to her Catholic faith.  Jean enjoyed a long career in the banking industry.  She was always fashionably attired, loved to travel all over the world and spend time with her family and friends.  One of Jean’s passions was watching America’s favorite past time, Major League Baseball.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John “Tito” Francona, 2018.

Surviving are her siblings, Dorothy Sigler, Conway; John (Maureen) Pasquale, Beaver Falls, Robert (Carol) Pasquale, North Sewickley Twp., Joseph (Bernadette) Pasquale, South Park, many nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. until time of prayer at 12:30 p.m. in the J & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave, New Brighton.   Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in Holy Family Parish, New Brighton.  Fr. Tom Kredel, officiating.  CDC guidelines of masks and social distancing will be followed at the funeral home and church.

Private interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for the great care dignity and loving compassion shown to Jean by the wonderful care workers of Elmcroft and those from Gateway Hospice.
