Jeremy T. “Jerry” Leahy

Jeremy T. Leahy, 56 of West Mayfield, (White Twp.) PA passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, June 19 ^th 2011.

Born December 8, 1954 in New Brighton, PA he was the son of Dolores Deku Leahy-Fellenz of Beaver, PA and the late David Paul Leahy. Jerry spent his childhood years in New Brighton. The family moved to North Sewickley Township in 1969 where he graduated from Riverside High School in 1973. He attended Clarion University prior to moving to California in the late 1970’s where he spent the next 30 years. Jerry then relocated back to Pennsylvania in 2008.

He was married in Petaluma, California in1989 to Lara Dods who survives along with his children, Colin Ryan Leahy, 20 and Kathryn Jane Leahy, 18 all of Petaluma, CA.

Jerry is also survived by his step-father, James Fellenz of Beaver, two brothers, David F. Leahy and Bonnie of New Brighton, PA,  Michael R. Leahy and wife Kathy, Knox, PA and one sister Pamela L. George and husband Lou, Beaver Falls, PA. and numerous nieces & nephews.

Jerry enjoyed hunting (especially ducks), fishing and wood working. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and The Veterans of WWII of West Mayfield.

He will always be remembered for his easy laughter and willingness to help others with no questions asked.

There will be no visitation. A Memorial gathering will announced at a later date.
