Joann (Perkins) Martin

JoAnn Martin, 79, of New Brighton passed away peacefully Monday, April 11, 2022, at home, surrounded by her family. Born September 30, 1942, in New Brighton, she is the daughter of the late George “Bud” and Thelma (Johnson) Perkins. JoAnn was a coffee shop owner in the area and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodger K. Martin, Sr.; two brothers, Paul and George Perkins Surviving is a son, Rodger K. Martin, Jr., New Brighton; two daughters, Tammy McDade, New Brighton; Kimberly (Brian) Kincade, New Brighton; 9 grandchildren, Michael, Torrie, Jordin, Christopher, Joshua, Jenna, Zachary, Landen, Ava; 7 great grandchildren, Jaiden, Keegan, Peyton, Reese, Preston, Myla, and Dru; her siblings; Carole (Roger) Jones, DeWayne Perkins, Clark (Cheryl) Perkins, Debbie (George) Harris, sister-in-law, Alice Perkins, Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and their families. Private services were held at J & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave, New Brighton. JoAnn was interred in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park beside her husband, Rodger K. Martin, Sr.
