Jo-Ann "Jody" Powell, 82, of Beaver, passed away Tuesday January 3, 2012 at Friendship Ridge.

Born February 13, 1929 in Beaver Falls , she is a daughter of the late Robert M. and Ethel (Coyne) Powell. She retired from the former Westinghouse Corp. in Vanport and had been a resident of New Brighton and Beaver all of her life.

Surviving are one sister, Carol (Jack) Kenyon, Florida; one brother, Robert Powell, Michigan; two nephews, Michael (Shelly) Powell, Michigan and Robert (Kelly) Powell, California, and their mother, Beryl Jane Powell, Michigan.

There will be no viewing however friends will be received Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the prayer service at 12:30 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave. , New Brighton , www.jjsprattfh.com., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in the Holy Family Catholic Church.
