John E. Hutman Sr., 90, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away Monday, May 9, 2016, at Good Samaritan Beaver.
Born January 15, 1926, in Aliquippa, he was a son of the late George and Elizabeth (Popcum) Hutman. After retiring as a mechanic in the automotive industry, he had worked for Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community in Cranberry. John was an all-around handyman who could fix anything. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Rochester.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann (Morgan) Hutman; three brothers, Thomas, Anthony and George, two sisters Margaret Hutman and Frances Neish, son-in-law, Richard A. Reese Sr. and great-grandson, Richard Allen Reese III.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, John E. Jr. and Kresann Hutman, New Brighton, Michael J. Hutman, New Sewickley Twp.; one daughter, Susan Reese, New Brighton; five grandchildren, Aimee (Dan) Mayer, Richard (Dr. Sasha) Reese Jr., Jared, Joshua and Jeremiah (Kelly) Hutman; five great-grandchildren, Lainey and Brady Mayer, Roderick Reese, Jeremiah Hutman Jr. and Rylee Parrish, sister, Ann Lapic, New Brighton; several nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com
Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Roches
