John Romanchak

John Romanchak, 72, of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Heritage Valley emergency room.
Born July 27, 1939 in New Brighton, a son of the late Nicholas and Irene (Ammon) Romanchak, he was a veteran of the U.S.M.C. serving during peacetime, a retired machinist with the former General Machine and Tool and an avid hunter.
Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Irene (Klear) Romanchak; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathy and Dirk Walsh, Renee Romanchak, and Jonalyn and Kent McDermott, all of New Brighton; five grandchildren, Jon (Sarah) Walsh, Peyton Walsh, Elyse Stefanosky, Delaney and Noah McDermott; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Austin and Parker, and several nieces, nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Stefanosky, 2002, and a brother, George Romanchak, 2007.
Private family services were held Thursday in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, PA 15066, www.jjsprattfh.com.
