Joseph Trputec
Joseph Trputec, 86, of Big Beaver, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the home of his daughter.
Born December 29, 1927 in New Brighton, he was a son of the late Stjepan and Anna (Katkich) Trputec. He was a retired independent truck driver and was a member of the U.C.C., New Brighton and the L.M.B.A., New Galilee. He was also a bass player in many Croatian music bands.
Surviving are one son, Joseph Trputec Jr., Beaver Falls; one daughter, BettyJo (Adam Locke) Pander, New Sewickley Twp.; one stepdaughter, Carol (Jesse) Palmer, Greene Twp.; three stepsons, Richard (Janis) Richeal, FL; Robert (Helen) Richeal, Norfolk, VA, and Ronald Richeal, NC; 16 grandchildren, Kayla, Kyia, Jeremy, Dakota, Anthoni, Mathew Tyler, Susan (Justin), William (Hayley), Jason (Lisa), Jeremy, Eric, Christin, Helen Mae, Marlene (Gerald), Dawn (Mat), Russell; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Austin, Cory, Anieli and 19 more; two sisters, Anna Cox, New Brighton, and Katherine (Robert Sr.) Boyde, Brighton Twp.; his devoted former wife, Betty Trputec, Beaver Falls, and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Frank and Steve, and a daughter-in-law, Deborah Richeal.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Marc DeJeu of SOMA, Beaver Falls, officiating.
Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
