Joyce Ann Dean
Joyce Ann Dean, 62, of Monaca, formerly of Los Angeles, CA, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Born July 26, 1951, in Beaver Falls, she was a daughter of Mildred Dean, Monaca and the late William Eddison Dean Jr. She retired from the City of Los Angeles where she was an animal control officer for twenty years. She moved back to Beaver County and for the last ten years dealt in novelties, antiques and gifts at various locations and lastly at the Bag Ladies in New Brighton. Her hobbies were her computer and social networking. She was a member of the Christ Church (Anglican), New Brighton.
Surviving in addition to her mother, Mildred Dean, are two brothers, Dennis Dean, Monaca and Bill Dean and Emily Till, Beaver Falls; a nephew, Matthew Yates, New Castle and her Pembrooke Corgi, "Tucker".
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a sister, Teri (Dean) Yates.
Friends will be received Monday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. Tuesday family and friends are to meet at the Christ Church, 1217 Third Avenue, New Brighton, where Mass will be held at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Langdon Pegram, M.D.
Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
