Kenneth E. Koble Sr.

Kenneth E. Koble Sr., 74, of Fallston, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023, with his loving family by his side.

Born January 16, 1949, in New Brighton, he was a son of the late William E. and Dorothy (Schoaf) Koble Jr.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the New Brighton Legion Post 19.  He was a graduate of New Brighton High School, class of 1967.  He worked at the former J&L Steel, retired from JC Penney, and had worked for the borough of Fallston’s Street Department, as well as volunteered for the Fire Department.  Ken loved hunting, but more than anything else he loved his family.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Maureen (Hertzog) Koble, children, Ken (Carrie) Koble Jr., Kevin Koble, and Karen (Rich) Koble, daughter-in-law, Tina Slaughter, grandchildren, Tatiana Eckstein, Zachary Koble, Tasha Koble, Tylar Williams, Joseph and Anthony Williams, and Carter Slaughter, great-grandchildren, Jaden and Logan Eckstein; sister, Alice (John) Zugonics, brother, Donald (Dorothy) Koble, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, William G. and Richard Koble.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm, in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave, New Brighton, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11:30am, with Pastor James Huselton officiating.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Good Samaritan Hospice for their compassionate care of Ken.
