Khari Ju'Vonni Brown

January 30, 1997 — February 8, 2021

Khari Ju’Vonni Brown, 24, of New Brighton, was given eternal peace on February 8, 2021 at her home.

She was born in Edina, Minnesota on January 30, 1997 to Tamika L. Brown and the late Charles Lightfoot. She was raised by Great Aunt Barbara “Aunt Mommy” Tillman Short and Great Uncle Charles R. “Uncle Bobby” Short. She leaves to cherish loving memories to be shared by her family and includes her beautiful little daughter Khai, who “wants Mommy to protect her too”, brothers Kavon and Kenyan Brown and Charles “Chuckie” Jackson; Grandparents Bernice “Totsie” Tillman King and Mack E. Brown; Aunt Angel Brown, Great Aunts and Uncle, Merry and Joe Mobley, Verena Turner, Hazel Tillman, Eunice Tillman, Alice Tillman and Cindy Tillman; Godmother Danaina Ju’Vonni May Ali, a host of loving and close cousins who include Cousins and Best Friends Tian and Israel “Izzy” Brown and many lifelong childhood friends.

Her loved ones she is now rejoicing with include Paternal Great Grand Parents Elsie and Mack Brown, Maternal Great Grand Parents Arrie and Hester “GG” Tillman, nine Great Uncles, four Great Aunts and two Cousins.

Khari was a 2014 graduate of New Brighton High School, she was a Little Lion Cheerleader, played Junior High Basketball and Senior High Volleyball. She had most recently been employed at Boscov’s. Khari loved eating good food (especially pasta) and enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Her hobbies included writing her thoughts, enjoying movies and videos, being on her cellphone. Khari was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and started singing at one year old, when she received many standing ovations.

There will be no viewing. Friends will be Sunday from 2:00pm in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, until time of Private Family Memorial Service at 3:00pm with the Rev. Kevin Lee officiating.

All CDC guidelines of masks and social distancing will be enforced.

Inurnment will take place in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum, Rochester.

The family would like to thank everyone for their concern and prayers for the family.
