Larry R. Macom, Jr.

Larry R. Macom Jr., 45, of New Brighton, passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in the emergency room at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born June 29, 1967, in Amberg, Germany; a son of Gerda (Herzog) Wall, Pulaski Twp., and the late Larry R. Macom Sr. Larry was very proud of serving in the U.S. Air Force and was now working as maintenance repairman for First Energy in Shippingport.  He had also worked for Zinc Corp. and Norfolk & Southern Railroad. He was a member of the F&AM Monaca-Center Lodge #791, the Church of the Nazarene and the United Croatian Club, both of New Brighton. Larry loved spending time with his family, hiking outdoors and metal detecting; three sisters, Sandy (Mike) Zachodni, Pulaski Twp., Wendy (Quent) Bachman, Daugherty Twp., Melinda Wall, Pulaski; a brother, Jesse (Heather) Wall, Pulaski Twp.; nieces and nephews, Amber, David, Mike, Casey, Zac, Cody, Austin and Ashton; an aunt, Sandy (Rick) Hogue, Rochester, many more extended family members and his dog and best friend, "Trigger".

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of nineteen years, Lisa (Kolter) Macom, son Ryan and daughter Kristin, all at home, three sisters Sandy(Mike) Zachodni, Pulaski Twp., Wendy (Quent) Bachman, Daugherty Twp.,  Melinda Wall Pulaski, a brother  Jesse (Heather) Wall, Pulaski Twp.,  neices and nephews, Amber, David, Mike, Casey, Zac, Cody, Austin and Ashton, an aunt Sandy (Rick) Hogue, Rochester, many more extended family members and his dog and best friend “Trigger”.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Allen and Twila Macom; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Catherine Herzog and an uncle, Allen Macom.

Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at noon with the Rev. Donald W. MacNeil officiating.

Cremation will take place after the funeral.

Members of the Veteran Honor Guard will meet at the funeral home at 11:45 a.m. to provide military honors.
