Larry Lee Sainer

Larry Lee Sainer, 74, of New Brighton, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at his home with his family at his side.

Born July 8, 1939 in Rochester, a son of the late Harry and Goldie (Whipple) Sainer, he served with the U.S. Army and then worked for the former Halstead & Mitchell of Zelienople. Larry then retired from the American Red Cross where he worked maintenance. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of New Brighton.

Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Ann (Kinney) Sainer; one son, Thomas (Edie) Sainer; three daughters, Cindy (Jeff) Oliver and Patty (Joe) Greco, all of New Brighton, and Faye (Jake) Vincik, Monaca; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one sister, Beverly Jeffries, Rochester, and several nieces, nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nicole Oliver, and a brother, Harry Sainer.

At his request, cremation will take place. However, the family will receive friends Monday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. On Tuesday, family and friends are asked to meet at the Holy Family Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Father Tom Kredel officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.

Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 10:30 a.m. in the cemetery to provide military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in his name to either the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, c/o 1850 3rd Ave., New Brighton, PA 15066 or Catholic Hospice, 6200 Brooktree Rd., Suite 220, Wexford, PA 15090.
