Our beloved sister, Lucille V. Maher, 88, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Providence Care Center.
Born August 15, 1928, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Joseph N. and Hannah (Cearfoss) Gill. Lucille loved music, reading, and bingo. She was a caregiver of many children within the family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Maher, on April 30, 2008; a brother, Clifford Gill, and a sister, Ruth Irene Gill.
Surviving are her siblings and their spouses, Joseph (Jean) Gill, Patterson Twp., Carol "Eve" Pauletich, New Brighton, Judith (Robert) Coval, Ellwood City, Joyce E. Gill, Ellwood City, Margaret (Arthur) Koch, North Sewickley Twp.; a sister-in-law, Isabelle Pletz-Gill; special nieces, MaDonna Pritchett and Ruth Dewhirst, and numerous other nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. A blessing service will follow at 8 p.m. with Father Tom Kredel officiating. Inurnment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.
