Marcella L. “Marcy” (Trujillo) Jackson, 73, of New Brighton, passed away Monday August 15, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice Beaver.
Born December 18, 1942 Trinidad, CO, a daughter of the late Esequil and Rose (Vigil) Trujillo. She was retired from the New Brighton Area School District, where she worked in the cafeteria for many years and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of New Brighton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her fiancée Donn A. Rex, her former husband Michael Jackson, grandson Pearce Jackson, great grandson Cyrus Cleckley, great granddaughter Kendell Fritzius, sister Christella Lovato and brother Jerry Trujillo.
Surviving are four daughters Monica Fritzius, Michelle Jackson, Melissa (Reese Van Evera) Jackson, all of New Brighton and Lisa Rex, Baden, one son Matthew Jackson, Mason, OH, eight grandchildren Tyler, Zachary, Kylee, Cassandra, Matthew, Taylor, Payne and Jordan, two great granddaughters Lalita and Larae, two brothers Max and Zeke Trujillo, two sisters Tanny Duran and Rosalie Lujan, all of Colorado, many nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, where prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:30am followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am in Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.
Interment will follow in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.
