Margaret Mary (Venables) Taglieri

Margaret Mary (Venables) Taglieri, 92, of New Brighton, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Rochester Manor.

Born June 20, 1926, in Chester, England, a daughter of the late Leonard and Florence (Dodd) Venables. She served in the English Army during World War II and and was a member of the New Brighton United Methodist Church.  Mary was a wonderful mother and will be missed by all who loved her.

She was preceded in death her husband, Cosimo F. Taglieri, on August 18, 1999; one great grandson, Michael Schmidt, and one brother, Gordon Venables.

Surviving are two sons, Gordon (Susan) Taglieri, New Brighton, and  Robert (Tim Moir) Taglieri, Philadelphia; two daughters, Jacqueline (Nelson) Higby, New Brighton, and Lisa (Robert Hanley) Altobello, Boston, Mass.; five grandchildren and their spouses, Scott (Mary) Higby, Ellwood City; Denise (Curtis) Cleveland, Pittsburgh; Michelle (Russel) Schmidt, Beaver; Julie (Joe) Smiley, Washington, Pa., and Doug (Angie) Higby, Slippery Rock; ten great- grandchildren, Lindsey Schmidt, Vince Higby, Josh Higby, Abby Higby, Hanna Smiley, Brett Smiley, Mason Cleveland, Jackie Higby, D.J. Higby and Tyler Higby, and several nieces, nephews and their families.

There will be no viewing. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with the Rev. Nancy Shute officiating.

Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made in her name to the New Brighton United Methodist Church, 1033 6th Avenue, New Brighton, PA 15066.
