Margaret J. “Peggy” Saiko, 87, of New Brighton, passed away Monday October 5, 2015 at Trinity Oaks Personal Care Home, Brighton Twp.
Born May 22, 1928 in East Brady a daughter of the late Anton and Antonia Kasun. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Holy Family Christian Mothers, the United Croatian Club all of New Brighton. She had been an operator/supervisor for the former Bell Telephone Company.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years Walter E. Saiko, one son and daughter-in-law Walter and Tamela Saiko, Parkersburg, WV, two daughter and sons-in-law Theresa and Jim Jeffeaux, Greenville, SC, Bernadette and Thomas Mattica, Daugherty Twp., six grandchildren, who were her world, Joseph and Alexis Albright, Kevin Saiko, Alton and Matthew Jeffeaux, Rachel and Alyssa Mattica, one sister Ann Mitchell, Brighton Twp., several nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers Anthon, George and Joseph Kasun, Steve and Mickey Steiner, one sister Mary Dolmovich, and two nephews Jimmy and Bobby Dolmovich.
Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 &6-8 in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, where prayer will be held Saturday at 9:30am followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am in Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.
Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum, Rochester.
