Mark Davidson

Mark Davidson Formerly of New Brighton Mark Davidson, 56, of West Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly at his home October 19, 2018. Born May 24, 1962, in Ft. Carson, Colo., a son of Carol Zinsser, of New Brighton and the late Charles Davidson. His family traveled throughout the country to support his father's military career before settling in New Brighton, which Mark always considered home. He attended Quigley Catholic High School and New Brighton before joining the U.S. Navy. He spent the last 23 years working for Wrisco Industries. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Davidson and his stepfather, Edmund Tabay. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Brigid Davidson; his granddaughter, Brynna; his mother and stepfather, Carol and Richard Zinsser; his siblings, Scott Davidson, Ailene and Don Mittner, Kelly and Norman Hainer and Joe and Dana Tabay; as well as a dozen nieces and nephews. His family will remember Mark for his generosity as well as for planning many trips to Disney World and the way he cared for his beloved pets. Mark was a consummate Pittsburgher who bled Black and Gold. Nothing brought him more joy than visiting the Strip District and preparing a massive tailgate before a Steelers game, except maybe taking his siblings to see Jerome Bettis inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. There will be no viewing. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 11, 2018, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. Monday, November 12, 2018, everyone is invited attend his memorial Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 7th Avenue, New Brighton. Inurnment will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Beaver County Humane Society or the New Brighton Gridiron Club, P.O. Box 396, New Brighton, PA 15066. Mark was the Lions' biggest fan and loved watching his nephews Andrew and Alex play football. []
