Mark Hampton Hogue

March 23, 1971 — March 22, 2023

Mark Hampton Hogue, age 51 plus 364 days, lifelong resident of New Brighton passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2023, at his residence.  “Be kind and compassionate to one another forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 (NIV).

Mark, born March 23, 1971, in New Brighton, he was the son of Doris Jean and Lon Hogue. Mark graduated from New Brighton High School in 1989, and graduated from TCS Technical School, McKees Rocks, PA in 1991.  He worked for Joe Pauvlinch as a dry wall installer, Versi Tech, Monaca for 20 years and most recently for McCarl’s Industrial and Mechanical Services in Beaver Falls, PA.  He was an avid hunter and a member of the Beaver Falls Sportsman Club.  Mark loved working at the New Brighton Musicals, where he served as the director of scenery.  He also enjoyed coaching the New Brighton girls’ softball team and New Brighton youth baseball.  Mark was a member of the New Brighton First Church of God and served as a Trustee.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife of 21 years, Victoria (McCoy), children, Moriah (Joey) Maldonado, and Allison Hogue, grandson, Miles Maldonado, New Brighton, brother, Matthew Ross Hogue (Heather), Arvada, CO, Uncle Kevin (Sandy) Hogue, New Carlisle, OH, nephew, Zachary Hogue, US Navy, Little Creek, VA, Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Wally, New Brighton, and several cousins.  In addition, he is survived by his “hunting buddies,” too numerous to list, they know who they are, we are grateful for their life-long friendship.

Mark was preceded in death by grandparents, Alma and Lon Hogue, Peg and David Smith, Uncle Gary Hogue, and Mother-in-law Vicki Knox.

Visitation will be held at the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave., New Brighton, Sunday from 12-2pm and 4-7pm, and Monday from 10 until the time of service at 11am.  His father, Pastor Lon Hogue will officiate.

Interment at Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Church of God, 605 9th St. New Brighton, PA 15066.
