Mark E. Moltzen, 50, of Rochester, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 17, 2017, in his home.
Born June 25, 1967, in Rochester, Pa., he is the son of Judy (Walton) Moltzen and the late Robert Moltzen. Mark served in the U.S. Navy from 1986 to 1990. He was employed with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a social worker. Mark liked Star Wars, Star Trek, and Michael Jackson. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. Mark loved his kids, spending time with all his family and making people smile.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Patrick Maloney.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his former wife, Elaine (Singer) Moltzen; three children, Andrew Moltzen, Pittsburgh; Ashley (Michael) Parker, Industry; and Kya Moltzen, New Brighton; two brothers, Robert C. (Carolyn) Moltzen, Brighton Twp., and Matthew (Amanda) Moltzen, Verona, Pa.; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. The Rev. Kevin Lee, of Lifeway Christian Fellowship, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Alcoholics Anonymous, 500 5th Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
Beaver County Special Unit will meet in the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. to provide full military honors.
A luncheon will be held at 1 p.m. in the Van Buren Homes Community Center on D Street in Beaver.
