Martha J. (Parker) Maybee

Martha J. “Marty” (Parker) Maybee, 92, of New Brighton, passed away June 30, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.

Born September 29, 1928 in New Brighton a daughter of the late Glen A. and Ida B. (Banks) Parker. Marty was a chemical addiction counselor of 20 years prior to opening of Gateway Rehabilitation with Dr. Twerski. She was also friends with Dr. Bob and Bill W. since 1958.

In addition to her mother and father she was preceded in death by her husband Morris M. Maybee, October 28, 2007, brother William G. Parker, sister Grace O’Neil, nephew John D. Johns I and great nephew John D. Johns II.

Surviving are her great niece Jaclyn Johns and Jaclyn’s mother Donna Alteri, Pittsburgh, and many lifelong friend

Friends will be received Wednesday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton and Thursday from 9:00am until time of funeral service at 10:00am with the Rev. Angela Smith officiating.

Interment will follow at 12:30pm at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Morris.
