Marvin A. Brown, 80, of Sewickley, passed away unexpectedly on July 1st, 2016 at his home.
He was born on December 17th, 1935 in Muscatine, Iowa a son of the late Susan R. (Bierman) Brown- Davis and Alfred E. Brown. Marvin graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Gamma Honorary Engineering Fraternities. He also earned an MBA. He was president of companies in Davenport, Iowa, Ashland, Ohio, Toronto, Canada, and Zelienople, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his wife Mary Patricia (Smith) Brown, and their son Patrick. He is also survived by his son Steven R. Brown, and his daughter, Lietza K. Norris, their children and grandchildren.
At the family’s request, there will be no public viewing.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian burial at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 721 7th Avenue, New Brighton, at 1:30 PM Tuesday July 5th with Rev. Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.
Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Sewickley.
