Michael J. Nicholson

Michael J. Nicholson, 79, of New Brighton, passed away Sunday March 14, 2021 at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born January 22, 1942 in New Brighton a son of the late William J. and Catherine (Dalton) Nicholson, Mike was the last of their six children. He was a veteran of Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army. He was a retired group leader for the former Westinghouse Electric Corp. He was a member of the Our Lady of the Valley, Holy Family Parish and the American Legion, Post #19, both of New Brighton.

In addition to his parants he was preceded in death by his wife Gloria J. (Capo) Nicholson, June 3, 2016, four brothers Luke, William J. Jr., John E., Robert J. Nicholson and one sister Eileen Pander.

Surviving are two brothers-in-law Victor Capo and Lou (Carol) Capo, several nieces and nephews, devoted friends Ron and Pat Winters and special neighbor Jim Westerman.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00pm and Wednesday from 10:00am until time of blessing service at 11:00am in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton.

Members of the V.V.A. #862 will meet Wednesday at 10:30am at the funeral home to provide military honors.

Private interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
