Mildred Dorothy (Begley) Goodman, 94, of Vanport, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Brighton Wellness and Rehabilitation Center, Beaver.
Born August 5, 1923, in New Brighton, a daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Humes) Begley. She was retired from the Medical Center where she was a cashier and was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Beaver. Mildred had a love for all dogs, including puzzles, clothing, figurines and her family's pets.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Goodman in 1981; two brothers, Henry Jr. and George Begley; and four sisters, Juanita Franklin, Margaret Bell Wilson, Betty Schwartzel and Mabel "Dee" Wilson.
Surviving are three brothers, Craig (Margaret) Begley and Richard (Carol) Begley, both of Vanport, and Jack (Jan) Begley, Brighton Twp.; one sister, Ruth Lindsay, Darlington; and many nieces, nephews and their families.
There will be no viewing. Friends will be received Monday from 1 p.m. until time of blessing service at 3 pm. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with the Rev. Fr. Bill Schwartz officiating.
Private inurnment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
In lieu of flowers, the family wish memorials be made in her name to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Rd., Aliquippa, PA 15001.
