Mildred A. (Vucina) Sandusky, 85, of New Brighton, passed away Sunday July 26, 2015 at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born October 26, 1929 in New Brighton a daughter of the late Thomas and Zora Vucina Fuderich. Millie was a New Brighton icon with her artistic florist ability as a full-time florist working out of her home. Millie also worked as a nurse’s aide, and then became a proud employee of the Beaver County Times working as a solicitor and achieved employee of the year in 2006. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Brighton. Millie loved traveling, talking on the phone, and spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid sports fan, always cheering for the New Brighton Lions, Penn State Nittany Lions, Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers. She will sadly be missed by the New Brighton community.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Sandusky in 1982.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law Tom and Crystal Sandusky, New Brighton, Tim and Christine Sandusky, Beaver, five grandchildren Chris, Heather and Ashley Sandusky, Chelsea Sandusky West and her husband William, Tyler Sandusky, two brothers Nicholas (Dorothy) Vucina, Vanport, Thomas Vucina, Hagerstown, MD, several nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Tueday from 1:00pm until time of funeral service at 3:00pm in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, with the Rev. Donald MacNeil officiating.
Inurnment will take place in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum, Rochester.
