Millie "Babe" Bordas

Millie “Babe” (Mezmar) Bordas, 88, of New Brighton, passed away Thursday June 13, 2013 at the home of her daughter.

Born September 12, 1924 in Aliquippa a daughter of the late Eli and Anna (Pesute) Mezmar. She and her late husband Frank were the owners of the former Babe’s Bar of New Brighton and she was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of New Brighton.

In addition to her husband Frank J. Bordas who died in 1988 she was preceded in death by three brothers Millete “Dodge”, John, Michael and four sisters Millie, Helen, Mary and Sally.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Lou Belldina, Monogah, WV, one son David John Bordas, Tiltonsville, OH, seven grandchildren and their spouse Juda(Sarah), Jeremy(Seashal), Jennifer(John), Jessica, Jessica(Jason), Carrie and Jill(Tim), 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received Monday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, where prayer will be held Tuesday at 1:00pm followed by Mass of Christian burial at 1:30pm in the Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. FR. Tom Kredel officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
