Minnie E. (Horn) Demarest

Minnie E. (Horn) Demarest Formerly of New Brighton Minnie E. Demarest, 99, of Ephrata, Pa., formerly of New Brighton, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018, at Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, Pa. Born July 22, 1918, in Freedom, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Musnug) Horn. In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Martin A. Demarest; three sisters, Goldie Cordner, Janet Rhen and Elsie Sedich, and half-brother, Edward Garrity. Surviving are her three nephews, Richard Rhen, Terry Rhen and Frank Sedich; niece, Shirley Myers; great nephew, John Dean, and great niece, Christine Kessler. Friends will be received Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com.  Pastor Donald W. MacNeil, officiating. Private interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Monaca, Pa.
