Nancy Jean (Bierline) Holmes, 58, of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 16, 2015, at her home.
She was born January 22, 1957, in Rochester, a daughter of the late Lowrie and Imogene (Ruby) Bierline. She was a 1976 graduate of Rochester High School and had worked in the bakery at Giant Eagle for many years. She was a member of the New Brighton United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred "Stats" Holmes, on March 12, 2011.
Surviving are two brothers, Gerald Lee Bierline, Rochester, and Robert Bierline Sr. and his wife Christine, New Brighton; a nephew, Robert Bierline Jr. and his girlfriend Meagan ; a niece, Michelle Mittner and her boyfriend Mike; two great nephews, Zachary Mittner, Logan Mittner, who was the apple of her eye, and a great niece, Ainsley Bierline.
Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. On Monday, friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. in the New
Brighton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Scott Berkley officiating.
Private interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
