Nancy J. "Nanny" (Philips) Norton

Nancy J. Norton, 86, of Pulaski Twp., passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Born December 19, 1938, in New Brighton, Pa., she is the daughter of the late Lloyd R. and Bess (McCullough) Philips.  Nanny was a proud retiree of New Brighton Elementary School, where she worked in the cafeteria for over 40 years. She brought warmth and kindness to the students and staff every day. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, visiting the casino, and was an enthusiastic member of her local bunco club.  She also liked country music and the game show network. Above all, Nanny cherished her family — her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Norton, Jr. and a brother, Robert “Ears” Philips, niece, Judy Rose.

Nanny is survived by her children, Dana, Donald, Scotty (Kimberly), and Robin (Kenny); four grandchildren, Kyle, Dustin, Ryan, Chelsey, five great grandchildren, Eli, Christopher, Alex, Ella, Jaxon, and one on the way, nephew, Robert “Flip” Philips.

She will be buried at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park with her husband Harry Norton, Jr.
