Nellie (Delp) Aeschbacher

January 26, 1938 — May 27, 2021

Nellie B. (Delp) Aeschbacher, 83, of Oil City, formerly of New Galilee, passed away at the home of her granddaughter Thursday May 27, 2021 in Oil City.

Born January 26, 1938 in Lisbon, OH, a daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret (Sheen) Delp. She was a retired bus driver for McCarter Transit and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the New Galilee VFD for over 5o years. Nellie loved her bingo’s, playing or working them and enjoyed going to Ponderosa with her friends and playing cards for hours. She also enjoyed spending time at her camp in Marienville, sharing her knowledge of the great outdoors with generations of her family.

Surviving are two sons Wayne (Vicki) Aeschbacher, New Castle, Harlin Aeschbacher Jr., Darrington, WA, two daughters Linda (James) Mitchell, Butler and Norma Aeschbacher, Ellwood City, eight grandchildren; Carrie (James) Cory, J.J. Jones, Corrie (Charlie Jones) Aeschbacher, Wesley (Junine) Aeschbacher, Christopher Lordo, Michael Mitchell and Andy Mitchell, 11 great grandchildren including her special one Isaiah Aeschbacher, two great-great grandchildren, sister Sara “Joanie” Garn, TX, former husband Harlin Aeschbacher SR, Enon Valley and dear friend Janet “Gay” Truxel.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Charles “Jerry” and his wife Dorothy Delp, Michael Delp and dear friend Annette Brenzo.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 1:00pm in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, with the Rev. Donald W. MacNeil officiating.

Private interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls.
