Nora Lee (Blackburn) Spratt

Nora Lee (Blackburn) Spratt, 91, of New Brighton, passed away Sunday March 27, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born June 7, 1930 in Harmony the daughter of Roy O. Blackburn and Ethel (Nesbit) Stock. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had worked several years as a floral designer for the former Spratt Flower Shop and McNutt’s Abbey Flower Shop. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Holy Family Church, where she put many hours in the kitchen at their bingo nights.

In addition to her mother and father she was preceded in death by her loving husband James P. Spratt, November 16, 1995, one grandson Jay Dylan Spratt, December 29, 2016 and her brother Ronald R. Blackburn, July 24, 2019.

Survived by her six children J. Michael (Karen) Spratt, Center Twp, Margaret (Kim) Eichenlaub, Statham, GA, Jay Daniel Spratt, New Brighton, Jeffrey (Kelly) Spratt, Cartersville, GA, J. Ted (Sandi) Spratt, Patterson Twp., J. Timothy (Wendy) Spratt, Rochester Twp., 16 grandchildren Laura (David) Lenzer, Sarah (Dom) Sorace, Gretchen (Andre) Pretorius, Grant (Mandy) Eichenlaub, Zack (Leah) Spratt, Jacob Spratt, Gracilee Spratt, Noah Brown, Hannah Spratt, Hank Spratt, Colin Spratt, Nathan Spratt, Savannah Spratt, Cassie Spratt, Tanner Spratt, Rebecca Spratt, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, where prayers will be held Friday at 9:30am followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of the Valley, Holy Family Church, New Brighton.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.

In lieu of flowers the family wish memorials be made in her name to New Brighton Public Library.
