Paul 'John' DeVinney
NEW BRIGHTON
After a courageous battle with cancer, Paul 'John' DeVinney passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2014, with his family by his side at Friendship Ridge, Beaver, PA.
Born December 26, 1950, in New Brighton, PA, John was the son of the late Paul and Jean DeVinney. John was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Terry DeVinney.
Leaving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Brooke (Anthony) Moore and grandsons, Drew and Deven, all of New Brighton; sister, Karen (David) DeMarco; nephew and niece, Anthony and Jeanna DeMarco and great-niece, Ava, all of Las Vegas, NV and many close friends.
John served his country in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1972. He then worked as a journeyman machinist for various companies throughout his career, eventually relocating to Las Vegas. He returned to New Brighton in 2013 in order to spend more time with his daughter and grandsons. John enjoyed fishing and hunting. He had a lifelong love of baseball and enjoyed watching the Pirates.
As per John's wishes, there will be no viewing and interment will be private.
John's family would like to thank the Friendship Ridge staff on 3 West and Annex 2 and the staff of Catholic Hospice and Palliative Services for their excellent care and compassion shown toward John and his family.
