Paul Pisano, long time resident of New Brighton, Pa., passed into glory and was greeted by his Savior Jesus Christ on September 3, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.

Born June 2, 1928, in Beaver Falls, Pa., he was the son of the late Angelo and Mary (Jerome) Pisano. A graduate of Beaver Falls High School where he was in the band and was a cheerleader, he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy and was an alumnus of Geneva College. He was a substitute teacher at Beaver Falls and New Brighton High School, and Beaver Valley Christian Academy. A member of New Brighton Rotary, he served on New Brighton Council on the finance committee, was a member of New Brighton Business Authority, and was coordinator for New Brighton DECA. He served on the board of BCRC. He attended Christian Assembly of Industry, Pa. He served his community as a dedicated owner and operator of Brighton 5&10 for 43 years, always greeting his customers with a friendly smile and providing a variety of merchandise for every need from hardware to yarn, with his famous logo "If you can't find it anywhere else, you can find it at the Brighton 5&10."

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dominic Pisano and Richard T. Pisano; sister, Angelena J. Cole, and father-in-law, Chester Rossa.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Jane Pisano. He was a dedicated father to four beloved sons and one precious daughter, Timothy and Suz, Pittsburgh; Mike and Esther, Monaca; Stephen and Shannon, Monaca; Jonathan and Jheimy, Aliquippa; and daughter Toni and David Howells, Beaver Falls, and a loving grandfather of 17 treasured grandchildren, Timothy and Shirley, Jason and Beth, Joshua, Angelo and Azra, Carleana, Justice, Kara, Autumn, Trinity, Karina, Isaiah, Alya, Juliet, Jedidiah and Celeste Howells, Maranda, Reese, and Vincent Howells; also five great-grandchildren, Tashja, Timmy, Samantha, Sophia and Judah. He is also survived by a brother, Henry A. Pisano, St Petersburg, Fla.; mother-in-law, Anna Rossa; brother-in-law, Chester Rossa, and sister-in-law, Betty Ann Rossa.

Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. Paul will lie in state Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the Christian Assembly, Industry, with Rev. William Anziveno and Rev. David Howells officiating.

Private interment will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.

The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at St. Joseph Cemetery at 3:45 p.m. to provide full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Church of the Living Christ Mission Fund, 699 Riverside Drive, Bridgewater, Pa. 15009.
