Raymond H. Peters, 80, of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
Born October 12, 1937, in New Brighton, Ray was the second son of the late Leland Gay and Naomi Irene (Mumford) Peters. Ray graduated from New Brighton High School Class of 1955, and was a retired electrician from Local Union 712 IBEW where he spent many years teaching the apprenticeship program, as well as serving as President of Rawding Electric Inc. for 12 years. As a proud lifelong New Brighton resident, Ray was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed his workouts at the YMCA. Ray could be found almost every day with his closest friends debating and conversing over coffee in the back corner of McDonald's restaurant. Ray's prize possessions were his family, grandchildren, friends and community. He was blessed to have them all, and we were blessed to have him. He will be missed every day.
