Raymond Scott Colwell
Raymond S. Colwell, 54, of Monticello , KY, formerly of Center Twp., passed away unexpectedly from surgical complications on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 .
Born August 17, 1957 , in New Brighton , he is the son of Raymond P. and Jean A. (Thompson) Colwell. Ray was a man of strong faith and full confidence in the Lord. He was an intelligent, well-read, and soft spo ken individual. Ray was a 1975 graduate of Center High School and was a retired machine operator.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Dennis Colwell (Bonnie Wittenauer), East Palestine, OH, and Jay Colwell, Minneapolis, MN; three sisters, Auda (Douglas) Freemon, Ft. Worth, TX; Paula (Kenneth) Peduzzi, Beaver, Pa; B randy Colwell (Dustin Donovan), Plano, TX; three nieces, Kelly Freemon, Renee' and Jessica Peduzzi; a nephew, Kevin Freemon, and his extended family.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave. , New Brighton , www.jjsprattfh.com, where a service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Langdon Pegram officiating.
