Richard L. Brown, 77, of New Brighton, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
Richard was born August 24, 1938, in Zanesville, OH. He served in the United States Navy, was an avid fisherman, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He retired from the former McDanel Refractory after 44 years of service as a kiln operator and was a member of Holy Family Parish, New Brighton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Pierce) Brown, and a brother, Gordon.
Surviving are four daughters and their spouses, Mary (Marvin) Hall, Newell, WV; Susan (Gregory) Davis Sr., Virginia Beach, VA; Pamela Cornelius, New Brighton; Tammy Margetic, Pulaski Twp.; twelve grandchildren and their spouses, Gregory (Kim) Davis Jr, Jessica (Jeff) Olive, Sharon Davis, Christopher (Jessie) Davis, Rachel (Louis) Anderson, Lucas and Travis Clawson, Michael Cornelius IV, Nicholas Cornelius, Veronica, Amber, and Aleesha Margetic; eight great-grandchildren, Mia, Emerie, Noah, Louis, Alexis, Adeline, Ellis, and Kaya.
As per Richard's request, there will be no viewing and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
