Richard Leroy West, 78, of Pulaski Twp, passed away Friday August 3, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford.
Born July 29, 1934 in Ellsworth, Washington Co., a son of the late Fred and Edith (Huseman) West. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U. S. Army. Richard had worked for St. Joe Minerals, Armco, Total Equipment Co. and Donawitz Auto Wrecking.
Surviving are his wife Gloria (Cooper) Pritchard West, one son and his wife Richard and Sarah West, Sewickley, two stepsons and their wives, Jeff and Renee Pritchard, Monaca, Brian and Tracy Pritchard, New Brighton, three grandchildren Melissa, Gavin, Grace, one great grandson, Robert Calvin, three step grandchildren, Ronnie and Mike Sprankle, Tiffany Vojnovich and their families, one brother Sam (Mary Jane ) West, Meadowlands, PA, one sister Pat (Roger) Fisher, Washington, PA, an uncle Joe Huseman, Washington, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sister Freda and Mildred and a step granddaughter Amanda Pritchard.
Friends will be received Sunday 2-5pm and Monday from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton with the Rev. Chuck Branz of Concordia Health, officiating.
Interment will follow in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.

The Beaver County Special Unit will provide full military honors Monday at 11:45 at Grove Cemetery.
